Counseling support by project staffs such as capacitated CTC and CVG members to victims, their families and communities:
By this event repatriated human trafficked survivors provided counseling support to survivors thus they become mentally boosted up and get inspiration of living in society with esteem. They got inspiration to mix in the main stream of the society also by the counseling. This counseling support is being provided by RJ Counselor as well as by CTC and CVG Member.
Repatriation of Human Trafficked Survivors:
By this event Repatriated human trafficked survivors are being repatriated from India and from other country. Human trafficked survivors live a slavery life in foreign country. By the help of Bangladesh Government and foreign country Government and Rights Jessore these human trafficked survivors returned back in their homeland and get opportunity to reunion with their family member. By this activity Rights Jessore familiar towards the country as well as internationally The repatriation process is as follows
An elaborately process is being maintained for repatriation activity. The following activity is being done for the repatriation process by Rights Jessore. It is as follows
• Rights Jessore Informed about victim through E-mail by its net working NGO at abroad.
• Application to Executive director by parents or guardian of victim’s family.
• HIR (Home Inquiry Report) is completed by fact finding officer of Rights Jessore.
• Application to Ministry Of Home Affairs (MoHA) in Bangladesh is sent by Rights Jessore on the behalf of victims’ family.
• MOHA sent it to SB (Special Branch) .
• Special branch checked its nationality.
• Special branch sent it to Ministry of Foreign Affairs(MoFA) & MoHA
• MoHA issued repatriation order
• MoHA sent it different places like as Rights Jessore and concern authority
• MoHA Sent it to RRRI task force
• RRRI task force sent it to concern country authority
• MOHA sent it to Bangladeshi Embassy of the respective country.
• Concern Embassy is issued travel permit.
• Date of repatriation is fixed by concern country.
• The delegation of two countries is presented in the time of repatriation.
• The victim is handed over the bordering nearest police station.
• Rights Jessore taken victim in its own custody by JD.
• The Victim is taken to shelter home for skill based training and psychosocial counseling.
• At last victim are handed over to their family member.
• Needy victim are supported as lively hood support by Rights Jessore.
The process takes time at least six months. But the guardian or family members are passed very anxiety moment in that period. They dialed the mobile number of Rights Jessore and asked when will come the concern. But it is nothing does when the above mentioned process will be completed by the Government than the victim will return home.
Formation of Counter Trafficking Women Forum(CTWF)& Motivational Training
Shame and Resilience Training for Survivors:
In order to Self Confidence of survivors Rights Jessore are provided a two days shame and resilience training for repatriated survivors to boosting up their moral strength. It is conducted by RJ Staff. The contains of this training are as follows first day contain.
• Human Rights & human trafficking
• Safe Migration
• Life skill and its elements
• Mental health/Problem/ Overcome strategy
• Stress Management
• Social stigma/ Overcome strategy
• Business Plan for livelihood support
The training is very much participatory and enjoyable. The participants were very much delighted. The training was full of games and role play so that’s why participants delighted.
Referral Mechanism with GO/NGOs Service Provider:
Rights Jessore already developed MoU with Dhaka Ahsania Mission for arranging shelter of the victims of trafficking and already referred hundreds of human trafficking cases for shelter support. RJ also establish MoUs with YPSA and at least 3 Government institutions (Social Welfare, Women Affairs, department of youth development, hospital, etc.) for shelter, medical, food, capacity building, rehabilitation and legal assistance support for the survivors. Regular organized meeting with the concerned service providers to develop the MoU and functional referral support. It basically need based activities. Through referral mechanism link peoples at-risk with need based support services and with the service providers identified in the district referral directory. Peer leaders, DEMO, CTC and the network NGOs/CBOs has play key role in identification of at-risk people. Also through Right Jessore’s 24/7 hotline numbers promoted and utilized to receive and manage referral calls. A register are maintained and update status.
Organize Training for Potential Migrants at District Level:
Rights Jessore organized training for potential and registered migrants jointly with the DEMO and TTC. Basically, RJ developed a MoU with the DEMO and TTC. The TTCs regularly organize training for the potential migrants and RJ take a slot during the training period and orient them about human trafficking and unsafe migration, safety measures, complain and redress mechanism.
Bazar Meeting:RJ organized 12 Bazar Meeting in each of the districts with the Bazar committee members to raise awareness on safe migration issues. During the Bazar Committee Meeting the documentary related to safe migration, human trafficking, human smuggling are projected through VIDEO shows. About 1200 people w made aware through each of the meeting. The bazaar meeting organized in the weekly bazaar day at union level. A total of 60 Bazar meeting organized with 12000 people. District Facilitators organized and conducted the meeting and VIDEO shows. For the VIDEO Projection, RJ develop MoU with the District Information Office.
Organize Upazila Level Migration Fair:RJ organize 1 upazila level migration fair in each of the districts to raise mass awareness among general people and organized the fair in collaboration with DEMO office. It has organized the fair in the International Migration Day. Stall it has set up during the fair containing the documents and documentary related to safe migration and human smuggling.
Entrepreneurship and Skill Development Trainings and Assistance for Job Placement:
Human trafficked Survivors are started to earn for their livelihood. Through this training repatriated human trafficked survivors are being skilled for job placement. This activity is being done by Rights Jessore through referral service. The Ahsania Mission a partner organization of Rights Jessore provides skill based training for Repatriated human trafficked survivors among the skilled based training subject the subject are as follows , tailoring , small business, Cattle husbandry, etc thus repatriated human trafficked survivors are getting ability for earning their livelihood .
Repatriated human trafficked survivors are being reintegrated in their family successfully. Rights Jessore is organizing community meeting for creating enabling situation for smooth integration of the surrounding area for repatriated human trafficked survivors.
Additionally RJ Organized empowerment workshops for girls in rehabilitation centres, government institutional care facilities, transit centres, drop-in-centres in red light areas, and secondary schools in vulnerable and trafficking-prone communities , Rights Jessore has also implement 20 two-day empowerment workshops in 20 secondary schools in trafficking-prone Jessore and Jhenaidah districts of Bangladesh. Empowerment workshops included sessions on: gender equality, right to education, life skills, Convention on the rights of a child, awareness on the prevention of human trafficking and CSEC, national laws and policies, screening of the film etc & also Provided coaching support to girls who are enrolled in formal education, non-formal education and vocational training.
Rights Jessore also provides live hood support for extreme poor repatriated human trafficked survivors they are provided sewing machine and cloths, Cow, and cash amount as a lively hood support from various project of the organization. Getting livelihood support human trafficked survivors is gradually developing of their socio economic condition.
