Major Job Description / Responsibility | Responsible for data collection, database entry, analysis, and quality checks of project data. Monitors project activities and progress towards achieving the project output.Develops data collection tools and reporting templates.Carries out data analysis using Excel/SPSSEnsure obtaining of high-quality data from partner NGOs and field offices.Practices, promotes, and endorses the issues of safeguarding policy among the team including relevant stakeholders. Implementation of M&E tools in KoBo.Frequent field visits for M&E interventions. Prepare report and submit monthly, quarterly and annually to adequately represent program achievements. Prepare technical guideline, process and tools as guided by RJ management team. Keep update and regular communication with concern steak holders on program technicalities, implementation and field management. |

Experience Requirements | At least three years of experience in a similar position (M&E and MIS) for national or international development projects.Some knowledge of human trafficking, child marriage, gender-based violence, and safe migration-related issues is preferred.Hands-on experience in data gathering through FGD, KII, and household surveys.Experience monitoring NGO activities for the purpose of M&E. Experience organizing training activities. |
Skills | Skilled in English in writing, reading, and speaking. Fluent in Bangla in writing, reading, and speaking. Background
Rights Jessore is a leading human rights organization in Bangladesh dedicated to protection and promotion of human rights, prevention of human trafficking and providing service to the victims of human trafficking including child trafficking victims. Since 1991, Rights Jessore has been working for providing supports to victim rescue, repatriation, reintegration and rehabilitation.
Rights Jessore is currently implementing Fight Slavery and Trafficking-In-Persons (FSTIP) project through the technical support from Winrock International and finical support USAID in Jashore and Jhenaidha district. The goal of this project is to reduce vulnerability to TIP and CM related human rights violations in selected project area by engaging CTC, CMPCs, GBV committees, PL, ANIRBAN and the civil society of Bangladesh.
The project empowering above mentioned leaders through capacity building and mobilization through awareness session at community level to support fundamental rights and reduce vulnerability to human trafficking and child marriage. The mentioned leaders will mitigate stigma and social norms that creates problem of vulnerable people and their families and provide standard protection service and act as community resources, mentors, and change makers. In this regard, Rights Jessore invites application for following positions as per below job description.
Position Summary of Program Officer
Rights Jessore will recruit one Program Officer who will be responsible for implementing all field level activities of the project and maintain liaison with government and non-government stakeholders and report to Program Manager. The details job description is provided below.

Major Job Description / Responsibility | The Program Officer will maintain effective liaison with the Program Manager and close coordination with concern stakeholders to established appropriate networking, coordination, facilitate effective collaborative efforts for FSTIP program activity. Assist and guide Peer Leader to promote volunteerism at them to combat human trafficking, ensure safe migration and stop child marriage. Oversee the proper implementation of FSTIP activity including to assist Counter Trafficking Committee (CTC) and Child Marriage Prevention Committee (CMPC) and Gender Based Violence Committee (GBV). Oversee the implementation of Right based program especially promotion of human rights. Assist Peer Leader to ensure the field implementation following the operation guideline of FSTIP activity approach. Keep update and orient volunteers as well as promote them to working to their community. Identify the field issues and improvement area in collaboration with specific audience and support to solve and increase quality of implementation. Provide support to all level CTC, CMPC and GBV committee for implementation of joint plan and to protect mismanagement /misappropriations /corruptions. Support to ensure coordination with Govt and Non Govt Stakeholders. Maintain linkage and liaison with Government department and local government to keep the update on HT and Safe migration program initiative and approach. Work closely M&E team for ensuring quality of information, record keeping and keep MIS update. Monitor the field activities to check quality of implementation and support to the implementing concern staff for using the standard monitoring and follow-up tools. Coordinate with M&E team support to execute the evaluation, research and process documentation. Collect case studies, document lessons learned and best practices of FSTIP program. Prepare report and submit monthly, quarterly and annually to adequately represent program achievements. Prepare technical guideline, process and tools as guided by RJ management team. Keep update and regular communication with concern steak holders on program technicalities, implementation and field management. |
