Geographical area covered: 6 Upazilas and 24 Unions under Jashore and Jhenaidha district in Bangladesh.
Beneficiaries: The project will implement 6 Upazilas and 24 Unions under Jashore and Jhenaidha districts. There are different types of beneficiaries will be involved with this project to achieve the project golal and objectives. The main beneficiaries of this project is women and adolescent girls and also men who are trafficked and child marriage vicitms and also returnee and potential migrants. Besides this, Peer Leaders, ANIRBAN members, Community volunteers, CTC, CMPC and GBV committee’s members will be beneficiaries of this project. Followings are different type and number of beneficiaires;

Project Duration: 48 Months (March 2022-February 2026)
Key activities:
- Activate and train 32 CTCs, 32 CMPCs, and 24 GBV (union) at all level in Jashore and Jhenaidha districts to the effective implementation of NPAs for TIP and CM
- Organize two batches capacity building training for 48 Peer Leaders and the network in two districts on TIP, CM, and safe migration on modern technology and SafeStep application.
- Organize four batches capacity building training for 96 community members in two districts as additional volunteers to address TIP, CM, and safe migration.
- Organize one batch ToT for DEMO and TTCs on making informed decision about migration and protecting themselves during the journey
- Organize 16 events at local level dedicated into International Migrant’s Day, World Day against TIP, International day of Girls Child, TIP awareness month, and 16 days of activism on violence against women and girls
- Organize two batches training for marriage registrars in district level on CMRA 2017 and their role in communities to prevent CM.
- Identify 40 returned migrants through engaging PL, ANIRBAN, and CTCs in two districts due COVID-19 pandemic and enroll them for training to refer for support services
- Organize 96 awareness session with community people on COVID-19 in project area through engaging PL, ANIRBAN, and CTCs at local level
- Organize one orientation on SafeStep application with service provider to maximize the use of the application in project area
- Organize meeting at district level with CTCs and recruiters to share recruitment best practice, job information, government regulations, and overseas employment conditions.
- Organize district level meeting on NPA with local agencies, CTC, PL, survivors and other relevant stakeholders
- Sign MoU to ensure services from service providers for TIP and CM victim
- Support for the processing of 20 complaints at BMET
- Create Safe spaces in 2 districts for adolescent girl and victims of trafficking and child marriage
- Project Operation Assistant for implementing project at ground level
- TIP and CM related message will broadcast through Community Radio and other media as appropriate
Outcomes of the project
- 32 CTCs, 32 CMPCs, and 24 GBV (union level) committees are active and contributing to the effective implementation of NPAs for TIP and CM.
- Increased capacity of 48 Peer Leaders and their network on TIP, CM, and safe migration on modern technology and SafeStep application.
- Increased capacity of 96 community members as additional volunteers to address TIP, CM, and safe migration.
- At least 20 officilas of DEMO and TTCs in two districts received ToT on making informed decision about migration and protecting themselves during their migration journey
- Organized 16 events at local level with community people and other project stakeholders dedicated into different International day like Migrant’s Day, World Day against TIP, 16 days of activism on violence against women and girls.
- Increased capacity of 40 marriage registrars in two districts on CMRA 2017 and their role in communities to prevent CM.
- Identified 40 returned migrants and enrolled them into project for support service through engaging PL, ANIRBAN, and CTCs in two districts.
- Increased awareness of 2880 community people on COVID-19 through engaging PL, ANIRBAN, and CTCs in two districts.
- Increased knowledge of 20 service providers in two districts on Safe Step application to maximize the use of the application in project area
- 60 CTC members and recruiters attended meeting for sharing recruitment best practice, job information, government regulations, and overseas employment conditions.
- 60 people including local agencies, CTC, PL, survivors and other relevant stakeholders attended meeting on NPA for effective implementation.
- Signed 5 MoU with service provider organizations to ensure services for TIP and CM victim
- Assisted for lodging 20 complaints at BMET
